Hours: Monday-Thursday 04:00 – 15:00 (40 hours per week with 60 minute break)

Key responsibilities:

• Coach and familiarise new joiners within the department including training.
• Respond to last minute changes.
• Liaise with Ramp Trainers on individual needs/training requirements.
• Co-ordinate Ramp operation in order to contribute successfully to DHL operations.
• Prioritise workload of self and others.
• Support DHL core operations, as required.
• Contribute to On Time Performance of the DHL Network.
• Understanding of equipment that is used in operation.
• Completion of Band A to C training, as required.
• To facilitate EOS/CIS meetings when required.
• Provide support and cover for supervisor.
• All employees are responsible for their own health, safety, and wellbeing, and for the health & safety of their colleagues who may be affected by their actions or failure to take action.
• You are expected to report all accidents, near misses and hazards in the workplace.
• You must follow the relevant safe systems of work and ensure that the correct PPE is always worn. For a full list of your Health and Safety responsibilities, including any specific to your job role, please refer to the Health and Safety department.

You’ll bring to this role:

• Sound knowledge of DHL Ramp operations. (desirable)
• A safety first attitude
• Any offer of employment will be subject to you undergoing a CTC (Counter Terrorism Check).
• Able to communicate at all levels.
• A good understanding of aircraft handling procedures (GSAM and Global SOP).(training will be provided)
• Ability to lead staff to ensure optimal working atmosphere and employee engagement.
• Ability to coach trainees of all levels and adjust to individual needs.
• Calm methodical approach.
• Highly self-motivated and able to motivate others.
• Interacting with people and good teamwork.
• Computer literate.
• Must meet criteria for issue of an Airside Pass and must hold a full driving licence (B1).
• DHL Operational Network knowledge 2 years (desirable).
• Have a knowledge of EOS and its importance to the business and CIS/CIM.
